Deaf As A Post

AAR concert was a blast.  Not a lot of room to move around, so a lot of the photos and video are from the same location, but that’s okay, still had a great time, got some decent shots.  Still deaf as a post now, several hours after the concert.  Since I am normally a light sleeper, I should sleep great tonight, since I can’t hear anything.  Met up with old buddies of mine that work in photography and in security, and of course the band members, always nice to see them doing so well.  Met a new girl, a young, aspiring photographer.  It was nice to talk to her after the concert, although I only heard about every third word or so.
I’m such a perfectionist.  I’m not satisfied with the photos, nor videos.  But I’ll put them all up anyways, kind of as a self-torturing punishment to myself to do better.  Last time I shot a concert was in Denver in 2005, so I guess I am a bit rusty, nice to be back in it again.  Regardless of my disappointment, hopefully something will become of the media.  Already have a handful of people wanting it, including the band members, their management, and the label.  I just know I can do better.  Even after my camera upgrade.
I think I’ll always be disappointed in my work.  The day I am truly happy with my work will be the last day that I do it.  Even if I get that perfect shot, I could always get more perfect shots.
Thanks to All American Rejects for putting on a great show in the ICT.  Last local show I saw them at was when I was working at America’s Pub in 2003.
I’m so deaf I can hardly hear myself think right now.  Posting photos and crashing the fuck out.  Goodnight world.
